It was late in Jump City. Well past midnight to be more precise; a time most people that did not have a night gig were fast asleep dreaming sweet dreams. This naturally included Jason and his mother and younger sister. His mother dreamed of being a famous artist while his younger sister dreamed that she was part of her own superhero team and kicking bad guy butt. Jason, meanwhile, had a slightly more antagonistic dream. For him it was his worst nightmare come true! You see he was dreaming that he turned evil and was actually helping another villain who was really powerful defeat The Teen Titans and take over Jump. Together they forced people to join while imprisoning those who refused. Disturbingly, he was laughing like a nut ordering Jump City's residents to do what he told them to do. His dream self even began to sing a little villain song celebrating his victory over Jump's heroes. That was until his song was rather crudely interrupted by a loud, annoying buzzing sound.
The waking world Jason jumped several feet into the air before falling out of his bed and landing on the carpeted floor below with a soft thud at the sound of his alarm ringing. Feeling dazed, Jason gave his head a quick shake before using his telekinesis to turn his alarm off. Giving out a muffled yawn, Jason gave his arms a nice, good, long stretch. Looking sleepily at his alarm clock, Jason thought with a tired yawn, 'good thing mom and Haley are such heavy sleepers or they might have heard that. At least I hope they didn't hear anything. At any rate, I really must find a better way at waking myself up for these um nightly missions.' The psychic wrapped his lucky green scarf around his neck and put on his long, green hooded cloak.
As he turned to exit his bedroom, he caught a glimpse of his reflection inside his full body mirror. There was something slightly off about his reflection. For one thing he could have swore his reflection wore a sinister smile and laughing evilly back at him. Startled by the image, Jason fell over backwards hitting the back of his neck against his dresser. Letting out a moan of pain, Jason rubbed the back of his neck. "Huh? What? What...what happened? Oh yeah, my weird reflection," Jason thought aloud to himself as he stood back up. Walking slowly back to his mirror he closed his eyes before risking a second peek. He let out a sigh of relief when his reflection looked normal. "Oh, so I was just seeing things after all. Just my wild imagination, I guess, playing tricks on me. Good. That's really good. Means I am perfectly normal. Great! After all, there is no way I could ever become a super powerful, power hungry villain like in my dream." He then shot his mirror a sharp glare before kicking it. "Ow," Jason groaned as he hopped up and down on his good foot. "Why do I even have this stupid mirror anyway? I hate mirrors! Oh yeah now I remember. This was all my mom's ingenious idea to desensitize me from my so-called phobia of mirrors. Well, I guess in a weird sort of way it sort of worked as I'm not scared just really, really annoyed and disturbed. Seriously of all the mirrors to get me she chose this one? Well regardless of the reason this mirror is so going! But first I must save all of Jump from legions of evil mirrors! I mean if this thing could influence my dreams enough to get me to dream about being an evil villain then who knows what its vile brethren could do to the minds of the poor, innocent souls of Jump City!" He then grabbed his backpack that had his tools and laptop in it.
Hoping nobody heard him Jason turned to his window before remembering the bars his own mother had put on; which of course caused his younger sister, Haley to squeal out in delight, "cool!" Jason didn't agree. Not one bit. His mother barred up his bedroom window to prevent him from sneaking out at night to hang out with his young and cool uncle, Don and to prevent Don from sneaking up into Jason's bedroom. His uncle was merely four years older than him, so the two grew up together and became the best of friends due to how close they were in age and how much they had in common. Don was a lot of fun, but he was also sadly a criminal; which was why his mother disapproved of them hanging out. Still, Jason would argue and even accuse his mother of being jealous of their bond since she was already grown by the time her brother was born. It was cruel of him to say, but Jason didn't like being forbidden from seeing his uncle.
With his bedroom window now barred, Jason decided to try his luck sneaking out of Haley's bedroom window. Sneaking out of his room he crept into hers; which was just across from his. Problem was her bed was right by the window, so no way he could sneak out without waking her. So Jason instead decided to just go out the front door. He knew about the security system his mother installed and after watching his mother install it, he knew just how to disable it.
After switching the security system off, he snuck out into the cool, night air. Jason put the hood over his head and taking a deep breath he took off into the air using his telekinesis. Since most people were asleep by now, the city streets were devoid of any cars. Jason used the city's lights to guide him towards a certain warehouse that he heard so much about. Upon getting close enough he lands and ducks behind some bushes. He pulls his laptop from his backpack and hacks into the warehouse's security system. After pressing a few buttons he shuts down the security cameras and unlocks the front door.
Once everything looks secure, Jason takes his laptop and sneaks inside the warehouse. Once inside he shuts and locks the door behind him. 'Now to find those evil portals disguised as mirrors, so I can dispose of them properly and get out of here! This place is majorly creepy,' Jason thought to himself with a shiver. He tightened his cloak in an effort to get warmer. After some searching around, Jason finally came across the mirror section of the warehouse. "Bingo! Looks like my source wasn't wrong! All the mirrors are right here. Now all that remains is to find some way to dispose of them without breaking them. Hmmm...but how?" Jason mused thoughtfully out loud as he carefully looked the boxes containing the mirrors over. "I suppose I could always just take them and bury them somewhere far, far away. But I'm only one person. There is no way I can do this on my own. I really hate to say it, but I'm going to need some help. But something tells me that the city's other heroes won't believe me about the mirrors actually being evil portals designed to suck in unwilling victims into the MirrorVerse to do who knows what to them. But then they get trapped there and are promptly replaced by evil, mirrorized duplicates of themselves. Yeah, nobody's gonna believe that! So looks like I'm on my own here as usual," Jason mused aloud to himself. He then contemplated instead giving the mirrors a false appearance of looking broken, but wasn't sure how to do that. So instead he decided he would merely hide them within the warehouse itself. After all, if the merchandise couldn't be found then the merchant can't sell it therefore sparing countless innocent Jump City residents from the vile MirrorVerse mirrors.
Taking a deep breath, Jason went to work. Using his telekinesis, Jason lifted up the mirror boxes one at a time. After finding the perfect spot to stash them, Jason began to stack the mirror boxes there one at a time.

There was something addictive about stalking the night on four legs.
Nocturne had done it several times now, as both as a wolf and a fox. She found that she preferred the latter; she was lighter, more nimble. She might have regretted the loss of strength -- except with her magic her strength was constant regardless of form. Foxes also were less obvious. Of course either way most city dwellers mistook her for a dog; a fact which made her snarl just to recall. She had actually mauled someone for calling her "doggie".
Tonight she was a black fox -- the better to blend into the shadows. Something of a challenge, as many of the buildings were lit in some futile attempt to deter burglars. She sniffed in disdain as she moved from one patch of blackness to another. Foolish humans. Nothing seemed to be going down tonight, and she was tempted to amuse herself by chasing rats, when she caught a fresh scent, and the sound of footsteps.
Soundlessly she moved nearer. She watched from the shadows as a young man in a green cloak walked into a warehouse. Curious. She did not recognise him as any hero or villain, but surely he was no employee in that get-up. And there was something familiar about that cloak.
She padded up to the doors herself, but found them locked. She glared at them, her eyes reflecting the light, then trotted around tot he side of the building and leaped up to one of the windows. They were so small a human could not fit through, but a fox could. Barely.
This had better be worth it. It took some effort, but she managed -- with her unnatural strength -- to push one window open. Then she slipped inside, jumping down to the floor with a soft clack of claws.
She found her way to the doors, and then it was a simple thing to track his scent. She found him just as he began talking to himself. Her ears perked. Is this kid for real? Her tongue lolled in a silent laugh, her bushy tail wagging behind her. She jumped up onto a box, then paused, surprised, as the boy began levitating the boxes and moving them around.
Now it clicked. She would bet her tail this was the same child that had shut down an entire building in order to stop the elevator. It seemed he had more than communication issues. Nocturne was intrigued.
She sat down on her haunches, curling her tail around her legs. In the bright lights, she showed up remarkably well: a pure black fox, except for a point of white at the very tip of her brush, and her reflective golden eyes. Around her neck, almost invisible against her fur, was a black leather collar, with a small gem hanging from it, dark and lifeless for the moment.
"How do you know," she asked conversationally when he came back for more mirrors, "that you aren't a mirrorised duplicate?" She lifted her right forepaw and began licking it casually.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
