If she had know she would end up there, she would of worn something different. Possibly something that included pants.
Maggie Blythe had been out of contact with the metahuman community for a few weeks, for during that time her brother had been in town for a few days. It had been simply perfect, having David in town. The family was whole once again, happy and lively and picturesque. But now, David was gone again and Maggie was left to her own devices.
And so she had been out and about, currently walking around, enjoying her day. She looked adorable, as she always did, with some new clothes that she had gotten during David's visit. She wore a white lace dress with some light brown knee socks and slouched western boots, along with a scalloped brown belt. It was something she would of worn back in Ashford and had worn it then to remind herself of how simple life was back in Georgia. She wore her hair down and wavy, her dark eyes bright as she glanced down at her charm bracelet, a gift from David from when he first enlisted. Every time he came home he would get her a new charm. This one was a hummingbird.
She was carrying a bag full of new books, something new for her to translate due to her other books becoming...rather boring. She was getting into the habit of writing down things as she translated, so that she would have the information still when she returned the books back to the library. So far its been pretty helpful.
Maggie paused as she spotted some...unpleasant people ahead of her, quickly moving to stay out of their range of vision. Since moving here, Maggie was quick to be able to tell who were obviously good guys and who were obviously bad. These guys were obviously bad, most likely being low life mooks who are simply minions for bigger baddies.
Either way, Maggie didn't want to deal with them, especially since she wasn't much of a fighter. She looked around, looking for a covert exit. Fortunately, there was one. Unfortunately, it meant going down into the underground, the subways. Oh please don't let there be rats. Oh please don't let there be rats, Maggie thought as she made a run for it. Her heart chilled, however, when she heard someone shout out at her.
She kept on running until her short legs couldn't run anymore, hands on her knees as she took a minute or two to catch her breath. She looked around, freezing when she heard voices and footsteps. Oh no, oh no, oh no! Maggie thought, running down into the tunnel and hurrying through it. Her heart was beating like a hammer in her chest. She had thought going down there would be safe, but instead she had made it into a game of cat and mouse. Should of stayed there. Should of called someone. Should of called Elodie, Maggie thought. Even though Elodie was probably busy with work stuff, she knew that if she had called Elodie would of driven down and gotten her. After all, they were somewhat friends, with Elodie challenging her on what all her abilities could do. And while Elodie wasn't all that physically intimidating, she could easily of taken them on with just her training alone, though her electricity abilities were pretty impressive.
Maggie had to get out one of her tiny little flashlights, like the type you hook onto key chains, and use that to light her way for it wasn't all that bright down here. This is spooky Maggie though as she continued on her way, only pausing now and then to listen for any noises behind her. Maggie's little flashlight then landed on an old maintenance door, with an intercom panel next to it. Unsure of why she was doing this, for surely it wasn't in use anymore, Maggie went over and pressed on the intercom panel. "Um hello? Anyone there? Is this working still? If so, can someone let me in, please? Theres...theres people down here and they are not nice people." Maggie whispered, her voice hitching as she could hear the thugs voices.
