I've Just Seen a Face, But I've Forgotten the Time or Place

What a week. In only a couple days, so much had happened. Afterburn had died and sprung back to life, met a sealed demon, learned her real name, and even befriended a strange chameleon man. It felt like months had gone by. Thankfully after the incident with Malchior, Hephaestus had the nicety to allow her some vacation days. It was of course going to mean them getting away with even worse treatment of her later, but for now, she'd enjoy what they were giving her.
An unfortunate part of being a revenant and all is you can't really go out to eat to entertain yourself. You had to limit yourself to just a drink or something, else you'd be vomiting up rotten food about a week later. Not to mention the whole silver hair thing always wound up with her getting weird looks from people. Today was her day though. No worrying about people's opinions, no worrying about Hephaestus. Just some nice cafe reading and enjoying the awfully bright hot glaring sun... When did it get this hot? It was snowing last week when she met Malchior. Jump City weather needs to make up it's mind.
As she brushed past some gawking gent, a sight suddenly threw her mind into panic mode and a scene not unlike the one when she met Bido played out in her head...
With the last statement, Felicity snapped back to reality. She appreciated getting memories back and all, but this whole zoning out thing was kind of annoying. She focused in on the source of her memory trigger and was kind of surprised to just see some kid. Nothing to do with fire, or powers, or anything. Just some kid. Why did this little snot trigger a memory as important as her first getting to grip with her powers? Some digging was necessary. In the most non-awkward way she could muster (Which mind you is still incredibly awkward. Anti-social personalities make acting in public difficult) she sat across from this strange but somewhat pleasant acting young man. She kind of wiggled uneasily in her seat attempting to speak, but instead just fiddled with her glasses, making them uneven on the bridge of her nose. She cleared her throat pointlessly and finally mustered up some words. "H-Hello there complete stranger. I uhm... think I may know you... maybe. I'm not exactly sure. I promise I'm not a uhm... criminal or something. I'm not going to make you pay for my meal. I just want to... sit and talk for a whil-A SECOND. A second. I'm not going to be here awhile. Just real quick," she spoke in painful spurts. "Nice going there Felicity. He's totally gonna be spilling everything to you now,"

"That's a pretty cool trick kid. Think you could get a job with the local mafia burning places down for insurance money with it?" spoke a girl. She was about as young as Felicity was, or so she could tell. She had some sort of weird red bandana on over her mouth and a sly piercing look in her eyes, that was just a bit playful.
"Kid? Frankie, I'm older than you by a several months, can you stop chastising me? This is serious. They've been building up over the last year or so. I nearly fried dad's Harley to a crisp on accident. I've learned to control it though. I just sort of picture a matchstick and striking it on a matchbook. Is that how you do your powers? The whole ghosty thing?" she saw herself ask, noting the discomfort in her voice. She was raw and young in this memory. Still unacquainted with cruelty. It was almost pitiful.
"It's mental manipulation, not 'ghosty things'. Clouding perception, you know? I just focus really hard and erase myself from their thoughts. Like an eraser on a page. Felli, you gotta relax. You're a super! Haven't you dreamed of this your whole life?" the shadow girl responded, just taking all of this in stride.
"But fire Frankie?! I wanted something subtle! Something where I could be strategic and stealthy!"
"Anything can be stealthy Felli. You just have to know how to use it right,"
