Anne knelt down next to Alphy and gently pulled him up before giving him a hard right hook to his face. She caught him before hit the ground and held him. "Listen to me very carefully. Alphone Carey, this. Is. Not. Your. Fault. They pulled out in front of a speeding car trying to kill you and mom and Felicity. Mom came up with the plan, and I agreed to it. I could have done something different, they could have done something different they didn't, I didn't. Hell I don't feel bad about it all, you know why? Because it was them or all of us. And I would do it again in a heart beat." The small teleporter looked at Alphy dead in the eye trying to make it perfectly clear, that he shouldn't feel bad about what had happened.
"They shot you, trying to kill you. They pulled out to make you crash and probably kill you, no I guarantee you would have died. I could see the forces at play, and you have been dead, Mom would have been dead, Felicity would have been dead. There was nothing you could have done to change it, that fault lies on me. Are we clear or do I have to hit you again?"
Anne turned back to the other girl in her step-mother's arms. Her skin was an interesting gray color, her eyes they were a brilliant white and her hair was fire. She stumbled a moment taking in the girl before registering what her step-mom had asked. "Right sorry..." She focused her eyes on the numbers floating across her vision that she normally ignored. She found the three other people on the roof before seeking out the equation to go home. When she found her power ripped the hole through space, her mind finding the vectors in the between space before her power ripped the second hole dropping them in the front yard. Anne turned to Francis and sighed, "So who were those people?"
