The air was cold and chilling the bones of the workers on the docks and yet it had little effect on one person who was watching all of them scurry about like ants. The solitary feminine figure stayed in the darkness as the phone in her pocket was running a feed of audio up to her left ear through her earbuds. It was a collection of voices talking about a shipment that they were supposed to be receiving later inside of the evening after the port was ‘closed’ for business. To her mind that was some of the very codewords that she was looking for. Inside of Caitlin’s mind this was the first step in a long collection of steps that will end with her being able to get full revenge on the place that had created her out of their own greed.
The dock manager slipped away from his worker and began to walk back toward his office. As he neared the office he stopped and glanced around as if thinking someone was following him He was right to worry but he did not see her as she had slipped perfectly behind something as he entered his office and shut the door behind him. Quickly and quietly she slipped over to the door. Holding her hand around the doorknob she focused her strength into the lock itself freezing it solid. Locking the manager away was for his own safety as she was about to do some things to this dock and he was but a patsy for the real criminals here, the H.I.V.E.
Looking at her phone as she slipped back away down the hallway she noticed it was coming close to midnight. Inhaling and exhaling the breath of her cold body came out without a change in the air just like she was not truly breathing at all. Moving out slowly toward the dock she noticed that the cargo was just starting to be offloaded and it had the same trademark logo she had grown to expect from hidden H.I.V.E. shipments. Anger welled up within her as she knew that this was but a small fraction of the equipment, people, and logistics that this group had to have within the city. Yet tonight none of these items would make its way onto the streets if she had her say in it, and tonight she did.
It was quiet for a few moments longer til a loud bursting noise shattered the stillness of the night air. Splintering woods and dented metal would be sent flying into the air as a pillar of Ice would materialize beneath the lowering crate. The pillar had knocked the box over exposing the contents of the crate which was a collection of H.I.V.E. weapons. Walking out from the shadows Caitlin Snow looked at the assembled men and women that stood shocked for the moment. Raising their weapons toward her she smiled a wide grin.
“Now now boys and girls. We cannot have those getting out onto these streets. Someone is going to have to settle this all down…” As she spoke the first pair of guys came running toward her with their electrified stun baton’s in hand. While effective against her she was going to be certain they would not even land a single blow upon her. Freezing the air and water about their feet she froze them in place as they charged at her. Reaching over she placed a hand upon one of the men’s skin. The heat from him slowly began to drain away as she looked over the others who all raised what she assumed where energy weapons. These thoughts were shortly confirmed as a barrage headed in her direction and she moved to avoid the barrage.
The energy blasts landed onto the crate she hid behind. Closing her eyes she would move and in a burst of cryomancy she would cause several to spin through the air and land hard on the pavement knocking them out cold. Now she would begin to move and aim to take the rest out as quickly as possible.
Lately, Mimic had been busy gathering Intel on Jump City's criminals and local crime syndicates. She was trying to learn all she could about those low life law breaking yahoos, so that she may capture them for a nice fee of course. After all, a girl's gotta make a living somehow and bounty hunters gotta eat too. It was all about survival. If people disapproved of her lifestyle choices then that was their problem not hers. She was not about to change for anyone. However, recent feelings of loneliness may change that. She hopes to find a group of friends who will accept her for who she is; preferably friends who won't ask her to change. She wants nothing more than to belong since currently she feels as though she doesn't really belong anywhere. She feels as though she does not exactly fit in with the normal humans and she hates the Euremians for what they did to her and tried to do.
She also had been studying earthling behavior usually by forcing herself to socialize with them by attending local teen parties and whatnot. Sadly though a lot of them either end up laughing at her lack of understanding or she would end up scaring them with her strange behavior and/or words. So she secretly feels inferior to the humans as she does to the Euremians, but will never fully admit this to anyone due to her own burning pride. So instead she acts unfazed by their harsh words and even acts as though she is better than everyone else as a way to hide her true feelings.
It was early one morning and Mimic was busy interrogating some lowly criminal lowlife on the current whereabouts of the killers responsible for her older brother and father's deaths. Unfortunately, she wasn't getting anywhere with her line of questioning as usual. And all those whimpering noises coming from the criminal was really starting to annoy her; which was a dangerous thing for anyone to do. With her trusty hammer in her free hand, she had him pinned to an alley wall like the little dirty rat he was. "Ssstop crying and ssstart talking you lowlife! Which one of your...friendssss killed my family and where are they?" Mimic demanded with a low hiss. Her voice carried a thick Euremian accent and her voice sounded a lot like a snake's. That is if snakes could talk they would sound like her. But the guy instead of cooperating made the mistake of crying again. "I...I don't know what you are talking about! I don't even know who you are! Just please leave me alone! I don't want no trouble with any of you supers!" the poor man begged as he remained pinned to the wall by Mimic sweating like a storm. Mimic glared into his eyes. Even though he was telling the truth, she did not believe him. "Oh you don't, do you? Ssssorry, but it issss far too late for you. You are already in trouble...with me!" Mimic growled shoving him hard against the wall.
Then suddenly the criminal got a rather sly idea. Back at the bar, he overheard talk of the H.I.V.E crime syndicate receiving an enormous shipment of some lovely weapons down at the docks at exactly midnight. Perhaps if he informed this rather psychotic would be heroine that the ones responsible for her family's deaths will be at the docks at that designated time then she will be satisfied and let him go. It was naturally his hope that the H.I.V.E will kill this crazy heroine and maybe even give him a reward for all his efforts? His lips curled into a tight smile at this thought and he dared laugh in Mimic's presence; which just wasn't smart. As expected, Mimic's grip tightened in retaliation. "And what isssss sssssso funny human?" The man's smile immediately dropped. "Sorry, it's just, you were right about me all along. I do know who killed your father and brother and they're going to be at the docks tonight at midnight. A little birdie told me that they got a shitload of weapons coming in and they along with all their weapons can be yours for the taking if you are brave enough," the man told her smirking. Mimic glared. "I knew it! You criminal typessss sssssicken me! And jussssst ssssso you know, I am brave enough! But for your sssssake you had better be telling me the truth and not jusssst what I want to hear," she sneered. Sweat pouring down his face, the man nodded quickly and held up his right hand. "I swear," he lied using his free hand to secretly cross his fingers behind his back. Despite not really understanding nonverbal cues, Mimic studied his face for a few seconds for any signs of deception. Unable to detect any, Mimic just smiled at him. It was not a nice smile. "You had better be, for your sssssake...human or you will quickly regret ever meeting me."
Believing that she was just going to leave him be now, the man relaxed and exhaled a breath of relief. That was when Mimic made her move. Closing in on him, she bit him hard on the neck inserting some of her venom into the poor man's bloodstream. As she did so she shushed him and helped him fall gently to the ground. A few seconds more and the poor man found himself unable to move though he could still see what was happening. Her venom causes temporary paralysis. Looking down at him, she smiled cheerfully. "Don't worry. My venom will wear off in a few ssssshort hoursssss giving the earth police plenty of time to find you here. They ussssssually pick up the trasssssh around that time. In the meantime, you have all the time in the world to rethink your life. Anywaysssss, it was very nice meeting you, but sssssadly I mussssst prepare mysssssself for tonight. I do not know who thesssssse criminalsssss are, but they are about to regret having ever crossssssed me!" And with that declaration, Mimic backed slowly away from the now paralyzed criminal before disappearing from sight.
And prepare herself for the confrontation she did. She interrogated other criminals on who is awaiting the shipment of weapons at the docks until one of her victims squealed the name to her. After learning all she could about this H.I.V.E from those she ruthlessly interrogated, Mimic prepared herself in other ways by beating the crap out of a poor punching bag at the gym scaring off the other gym members in the process.
When it got close to midnight, Mimic headed for the docks as fast as she could by flying in the form of an RC helicopter. She believed this form would not be too suspicious. However, when she got close enough to the docks she realized it was time to utilize some stealth. So she snuck around sticking to the shadows best she could. She arrived before anyone else. So she decided to hide and wait in plain sight while in the form of an ordinary old tire laying flat on its back. There she watched and patiently waited for this H.I.V.E criminal group to arrive. Luckily she did not have to wait for very long for things to start happening. Only she could not believe what was happening. First the H.I.V.E arrived right on time and Mimic silently watched them unload large looking crates off a ship. She was just about to attack when some other chick swooped in and beat her to it. If tires could scowl, she would have. But the bounty hunter had to admit that she was somewhat impressed by this earthling's ice powers and finesse in battle. But believing these criminals responsible for her family's brutal murder, Mimic lusted for revenge and for their blood.
Without any warning the rusty old tire resumed her human form and with glowing white eyes both of her hands shifted into a pair of guns and she began shooting the criminals like mad while taking great care not to hit the beautiful ice chick hiding behind one of the crates. Instead, she was shooting the H.I.V.E members who were currently firing at the crate the ice girl was taking cover behind. The criminals now realizing they now had a second enemy turned their attention away from the cryokinetic and began firing at Mimic instead. With a loud, passionate battle cry Mimic dodged their attacks while returning fire. As she was wearing her fullfaced helmet nobody could tell who she even was under there. As the criminals closed in, Mimic's hands resumed their regular human form and she began hitting them with her hammer while kicking others with her feet.

The battle was getting heated and not inside of a way that could benefit herself. Closing her eyes she was counting the rounds of laser fire as they bounced off the crate. Counting and attempting to figure out the firing pattern was her current goal as she listened a new noise broke her train of thought and concentration. The sound of regular style firearms echoed out and members of the H.I.V.E. began to drop like flies. When the firing upon her position stopped she moved quickly out from cover to notice the few goons that remained had turned toward the newcomer and charged in.
Her eyes would close and she would blink as she then moved. Moving fast she would ice beneath the feet of two of the H.I.V.E. soldiers. This caused them to skip directly into Mimic’s outstretched hammer weapon and spin before slamming into the ground knocking themselves out cold. The last of the soldiers attempted to scatter but it seemed that Mimic was faster and caught them both with a few swift kicks. Placing a hand upon the closest soldiers neck Frost would begin to drain some of the heat from him to compensate for the amount of her powers she had used in the skirmish. Though as she topped herself off she began to rifle through his pockets loking for energy cells for the weapons he carried. Finding them she began to gather them and toss them into a small pack upon her back.
Standing as she grabbed the last of the energy cells off of her downed and unconscious opponent she would look toward Mimic. “Did not need the help but still thank you for the assistance. Quite a number of them were gunning for me. You were a welcome distraction and seemed to get a good number of them down for notches on your belt.”
Her words were warmer than expected and she smiled toward Mimic. Lowering her guard if only but for the moment as several of the guards groaned and she began to walk toward the opened crate of weapons.
bic: As Mimic brutally swung her hammer around, a couple of unlucky HIVE agents tumbled directly into her powerful swing causing the two to spin around a bit before falling unconscious onto the hard, unforgiving ground below. Mimic then watched with deep seething disappointment by the pure cowardice of her enemies as they scrambled for cover. Mimic was most annoyed to say the least. 'How dare they run from me!? They're not even worthy enough to fight me much less share the same air I breathe,' Mimic arrogantly thought. Luckily for Mimic they didn't get too far since she managed to swiftly kick them. Mimic also caught a couple more with her powerful hammer; which she sent sailing backwards through the nighttime sky.
Turning around, Mimic spotted the mysterious cyrokinetic knocking out an unfortunate HIVE agent in a most brutal fashion. Mimic couldn't help cringing underneath her armor a bit. Mimic continued to watch as the ice woman searched the downed HIVE agent and relieved him of his weapon's energy cells. Mimic curiously watched the cyrokinetic toss them into her pack wondering what she planned to do with all of her enemy's weapons she's accumulated from the fight. That was when the beautiful ice woman formally acknowledged her, thanking her it seemed for the "assist " Mimic stood there a moment thinking how to respond since she was clearly not there for the cyrokinetic's benefit, but for her own selfish reasons. Mimic certainly appreciated the ice woman's compliment. "Uh thanksssss. You didn't do too bad yoursssssself. But you sssssshould know that I'm not here for you. I'm here for one reasssssson and one reassssson only. Revenge. You ssssssee thesssssse ussssselesssss, good for nothing pigsssss took ssssssomething very important from me and well I'm ssssssimply returning the favor. An eye for an eye and all that," revealed Mimic without really saying what it was they took.
Overhearing this a couple of the downed guards grumbled in clear confusion. "What...what are you talking about lady? We don't even know who you are! Why...why do you attack us? We didn't do anything to you!" one of them questioned weakly. Livid Mimic rounded on him. The armored bounty hunter ran up and grabbed the poor guy by the shirt collar and shoved him hard up against a tree. "Don't you lie to me! I heard from a...very reliable sssssource that you HIVE agentssssss killed my father and older brother in cold blood! What, did you honesssstly think that the truth wouldn't get out? That you would get away with thisssss? Ha! Yeah right! I know for a fact, your little gang of thugsssss killed them! For what purpossssse I don't know, but fesssss up already! I know you guyssss did it!" she hissed. The agent just started laughing even as Mimic tightened her grip. "Ha! Joke's on you lady! Like I said I don't know you or your precious little family. All I know is if they really are dead then the HIVE isn't responsible. Did you even check and double check your...sources before running around and accusing complete strangers of things?" the man questioned causing the young bounty hunter to mentally curse.
Truth was she didn't check her sources at all! In fact she didn't even trust the little weasel that fed her the obvious lies in the first place. Thing was she just so desperately wanted someone...anything to blame that she allowed herself to believe the obvious lies of a desperate criminal willing to say anything to save his own sorry skin. But there was absolutely no reason to let this lowlife human know that. Out of frustration, she unleashed a passionate battle cry before pounding her hammer against the tree purposely missing the agent's head by a few inches. As he ducked in the nick of time the agent was understandably freaking out! He glared up at the hammer wielding armored chick standing above him. "What are you, crazy?" he growled, heart pounding. Glaring Mimic lifted him back to his feet and forced him back against the tree. "No, but I am plenty mad and believe you me, you do not want to make me any madder! Sssssso you claim your little team issssss innocent. Well, maybe they are, but maybe jussssst maybe they are not. But it issssss up to you to clear their name. You're going to help me find my family'ssssss real killersssss and we're going to make them pay," Mimic boldly demanded. The agent's eyes widened. "Wait what? First you attack me and now you actually have the unnerving audacity to demand my help? No way! I mean, why should I? You want your family's killers so bad, you find them yourself and perhaps if you are deserving in your quest you will succeed," the agent informed her flatly. The agent's tone shocked her due to the position he now found himself in. Though she supposed she deserved it after brutally attacking him and his fellow HIVE agents without probable cause. Looking him over for another moment she sighed and loosened her grip on him. "You're lucky I am sssssso nice. If you don't want to help me then fine. Don't. I don't need your help anyway. I can find the killersssss myssssself and then I'll have all the revenge while you bozossssss get none," she snarled. Her slick words caught the agent's attention who was busy dusting himself off. "Eh? What are you talking about? Why would I want revenge on your family's killers?" She expected that question, so she smiled and widely I might add. "Oh no reasssssson except well, it'sssssss like you sssssaid. I attacked you and your fellow agentsssss and the only reassssson I did that wasssss becausssssse I wassssss told you were ressssssponssssible. My family issssss indeed dead and had they not been killed I would not have...attacked you. The truth of the matter isssss you don't want revenge on me. You want revenge on the sssssame people I do. Think about it and you'll know I'm right," Mimic answered slyly with a wide grin. The agent did indeed think about it. "Huh, I never thought about it like that before. But you're right. How do we find them though?" Mimic just sighed. While the agent seemed more eager he still sounded so clueless. "Not sssssure, their ssssscent issssss really faded. But you're the big time criminal, sssssso sssssurely you have ideassss on how to find killersssss," admitted Mimic bitterly.
While the agent thought, Mimic remembered the cyrokinetic and glanced over in time to see her rummaging through a crate full of HIVE weapons. Curious, Mimic slowly approached her from behind. "Ssssso not that it'sssss any of my busssssinessss, but what are you planning on doing with all thessssse HIVE weaponsssss and ammo anyway? You're not going to throw them away, are you? They could be very usssseful. After all, what greater sssssatissssfaction issssss there than to turn your own enemy'sssss weaponsssss againsssst them? I persssssonally find it mossssst fun to do," she cheerfully suggested in an enthusiastic tone. "By the way, anything good in there?" Mimic asked mainly out of curiosity. She just loved weapons and was a bit of an expert on the subject.

“Revenge you say? That is always a good way to keep one warm on a cold evening like tonight. Finding and dispensing that revenge is also why I am here.” The words of Mimic mirrored those of Frost. For once she was not hiding behind the icy exterior that she showed to everyone else. It was possible that the battle has loosened the tight control she always had. Either that or the fight took more energy from her than she thought it had. Gathering up another of the energy cells she would close her hand around it and she would crack it ever so slightly which would cause a slight burst of energy. Using her powers she absorbed the energy that had erupted from the cell.
Closing her eyes she allowed the energy to course into her through her hands. Looking over at the man as he was rambling to Mimic. His blathering on started to bother her as she was pocketing more of the energy cells. Keeping them within her bag she would look over at Mimic. The fact that she was rummaging through all of the weapons had not gone unnoticed to the assistant. Raising her hand the man that Mimic had been interrogating was frozen instantly around his legs and holding him in place so he could not run away.
“”I am planning on stealing these to keep myself powered. As for the weapons… I was planning on using a few of those little guys in that crate to destroy all the rest of these. “ Pointing at the smaller box that was marked grenades. It was obvious what the plan was now in this moment. As she wanted revenge and starting in this manner was her first way. Turning to her from the busted up crate.
“Though I will not stop you if you want to grab a few of the weapons yourself. Use them to give the H.I.V.E. a massive headache I would consider that a win for my own agenda if we used it to trash them.” Turning back she would grab another handful of energy cells and tossed them into her bag. Reaching a hand up she would place a pair of fingers onto the earpiece in her right ear and listen to something that came to her.
Behind her helmet, Mimic smiled at the ice queen. "Great mindsssss really do think a lot alike I sssssuposssse. Sssssso what did thessssse cowardly low livessssss ever do to you to make you hate them sssssso much that you wissssssh vengeance upon their ill-prepared headssssss?" Mimic questioned mainly out of curiosity. She then watched as the cyrokinetic scooped up the energy cells off of the ground and then breaking them in her bare hands. Fearing the ice woman might hurt herself, Mimic's mouth opened to stop her only no words came out. Instead, Mimic stood there puzzled and silent for she could not fathom why anyone would do such a thing to themselves. Surely crushing weapon energy cells in your hands would hurt, right? Of course poor Mimic had no idea that the cyrokinetic could absorb energy from the weapon's cells. Still, she had to assume that the ice woman experienced no pain from doing so since she did not yell out or anything. Further, the ice woman proceeded to gather up even more energy cells.
Mimic then watched with mild amusement as the ice woman froze the HIVE agent's legs thereby disabling him from movement. Naturally, the little agent was far from amused. "Hey, why'd you do that for? I already surrendered to your friend there. Why you gotta go and freeze me too?" he complained. Rubbing her chin, Mimic looked him over carefully. "Mmm...cold feet. That'sssss a good look for you," she teased causing him to protest. "What? Now you're taking her side? But you need me! I thought I was going to help you?" "Plansssss have changed," she said with a shrug. "What? Well forget you then! Just for that you can forget me helping you." "Fine. Jussssst fine. Now, if you'll excusssssse me, sssssssomething'sssss....come up," Mimic curtly informed the agent before she casually strolled over to where the mysterious ice woman stood. She smiled. "I gotta sssssay. I like your ssssssstyle. Cold, deadly, and ssssstraight to the point. What'sssss your name sssssstranger?"
And there it was. Never before had Mimic been so grateful for her helmet for her face reddened. "Oh ssssssso that'sssss what you are usssssssing the weapon's energy cellsssss for. To re-energize yoursssssself. Huh, handy if I do ssssssay sssssso myssssself," Mimic mused impressed by the ice woman's ingenuity. Mimic then looked and saw the grenade box that Killer Frost was pointing at. "Well from the looksssss of thingsssss I'd ssssssay you have more than enough firepower here to blow up the entire dock if you wanted," Mimic casually informed her.
She smiled when the ice woman offered some of the HIVE's weapons to her. "My oh my how very generoussssss of you though if it'sssssss all the same to you, I think I am done with the HIVE. They don't ssssssseem to know anything about my family'ssssss killersssss. Sssssstill, if you need help with your revenge then I sssssupossssse I could...help with that," thanked Mimic as she scooped up some undamaged weapons for herself. "Nice. Lightweight yet very durable with a whole lot of firepower. Me likey," she exclaimed as she admired the HIVE energy weapon in her hands. "I will definitely be taking thisssss baby home with me for a little tesssst run," she added as she looked through the scope of the energy weapon. She aimed it at the poor helpless half frozen agent; which understandably freaked him out before lowering the weapon.
She lowered the weapon in time to catch the mysterious ice woman touch something on her ear. She wondered what it was. "Sssssso not that it'ssssss any of my bussssssinessss, but do you have backup or ssssssomething? You sssssseem to have... issssss that by chance a lisssssstening device hidden in your ear?" the half-alien bounty hunter excitedly asked.

“They took away my life and created their own destruction…” She would speak in response to Mimic. Her own words not all that honeyed nor soft. The crushed energy cells dropping from her hands and rattled onto the ground obviously fully drained. Her attention turned toward the man that she had frozen earlier. The one that Mimic had been speaking some rather honeyed words on herself and it showed that Mimic was on her side as she walked over to him. Waiting for a moment she looked over at the man once more.
Reaching to her side she grabbed a small disk that had the H.I.V.E emblem on it and she tossed it onto the man which would resound with an electrical shock knocking him completely out. Once the man was out cold she turned back to Mimic as she finally relaxed physically. “Name is Frost. They call me Killer Frost for rather obvious reasons. It is nice to meet you as an ally instead of an enemy.”
Her words actually warmed up compared to earlier. Knowing full well that allies were hard to come by this was a welcome change and not something she expected from this evening. “We could have a little test run here and now. I mean we are going to be destroying all their crap in the here and now. So why not just go to town with their own equipment against their own equipment. As for this little thing. Let’s just say that there are many people that hate the H.I.V.E. Not just heroes but others that want them cast aside. I just report that this shipment cannot be used against others and they pay me. Simple and clean way to live.“
Smirking she would finish gathering the energy cells that she wanted. Reaching through to grab a few more things she stumbled upon a thumb drive within a sealed envelope. Lifting it up she smiled as she looked at it. “Hello there beauty… Whatever could you have on you?” Pocketting the thumb drive she would turn to Mimic as she assumed that the woman would be gathering up everything that she wanted. Grabbing one of the grenades she noticed that had rolled out toward her foot.
Looking over at Mimic she shrugged a little. “Got everything that you wanted?”

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
