"And maybe when the storm has passed, and we can see the lovely stars again, things will be all good again."
Raven stared after him, as he headed down the hatch, her mind more confused now than ever it had been. So then, they were friends? Still, they were friends? But he belonged to Babs, now.... 'Now.' Like he'd ever belonged to her. Raven sighed, staring after him.
This would be hard.
So maddeningly, painfully hard.
But it was what he wanted, and she wasn't going to put herself in his way. If there was one thing Raven would never do, it was beg to be loved.
/Things will be good again?/
She sighed, following him after a moment, though he'd already gone down into the Tower and out of sight.
"I doubt it," she mumbled to no one in particular.
The halls were empty, though she could still hear the repair work going on, even over the rain that had begun to hammer the Tower from all sides. Her hair dripped little rivers of water down her back, down her neck, and she reached up to ring it out. A lot of good that would do.... Her entire being was sopping wet. Wouldn't it just be the icing on the proverbial cake, if she did get a cold. Wouldn't that just be lovely.
Bypassing Speedy's room once again--though she knew she should suck it up and help mend the walls--she hurried down the dark hallways, fleeing to her room. It felt cowardly, but really. Though she was one of the only ones who could work on the outside, she seriously doubted her pressence in that room would do anything resembling progress, anything good for team morale....
She couldn't face them, any of them, Babs especially. And she and Speedy together? Robin, and the team?
The dark of her room never sounded so good.
And the dark of sleep even better.
