Gaunt leaned back in his chair, sipping red liquid from a V8 bottle. He was watching the news with a grin on his face. Some chumps had decided to attempt a late-night robbery, and now some super was stepping in to chase them off. They were already running, and had managed to shake the news crews. All told, the whole thing was looking like a disaster. They had gotten away with a few bags of cash that probably had tracking devices, and there was a super hunting them down to boot. He chuckled, wondering what sort of idiot robs a bank anyway.
That train of thought was derailed when his security system pinged him. One of the hidden cameras near an entrance picked up movement, four masked men forcing the gate open and running in. Gaunt groaned, getting up. Apparently they were the type of idiots who ran into dark, unsafe tunnels. He got out of his chair, and grabbed Vera, just in case he needed to threaten a bit. Gaunt hit a panel on a wall, and it opened up, letting him through his secret back passage out of the control room.
Gaunt closed the passage behind him and headed off down the tunnel, in the direction of the disturbance. The thieves had been headed this way, he just needed to go and give them a little scare. Convince them that there were better places to hide. Better that than have a super tear through and potentially reveal his hideout.
Silverwing snapped. Yeah, sure. Like, that was going to stop them. She mumbles as she was in a hot pursuit of 4 skis masked robbers. Chasing after them down the subway tunnels. She glided on her silver disk to gain an advantage against them. Outrunning them in foot and distance between them.
But then they suddenly stopped and turn to face her. One thing crosses her mind was, what the heck? Had they:
A. Stopped to catch their breath B. Decided to give up and surrender C. Something funky is going on
"Quick get the bomb..."
The answer was 'C'. After, she heard one of them shouted ... Wait, did they just say a bomb? Her eyes wider in shock. Her body and mind tries to register. Trying to make reaction when she saw a small grenade threw towards her. She quickly flicks the silver disk upward as a shield. Then, the last she heard was a 2-second beeping sound then a loud explosion.
The explosion impact was small. Only sending a small vibration around the tunnel, but she was standing too close to it. It sends her flying back. Landing hard on the ground but alive. Only escaping minor scratches, cuts, bruises and temporary lost of hearing. Thanks to her silver disk.
Even after the rough fall, she forces herself to get up. Stubborn. Refusing to throw in the towel. It didn't occur to her much later this was all planned. They started putting on gas masked and in a minute she knew why. The smoke that came with the explosion knocking her like a punch. There was something in the air, a sickening smell. Causing her to feel nausea and then light-headed.
She leans on the wall for support, while she tries to call for back up. Her hand started to feel numb as the T-Communicator falls out from her hand, just before she hits the ground. Wait, the smokes clears the robber surrounded her and she felt helpless.
"Easy boys. We ain't done yet and don't underestimate her cause she could be.... Ouch!"
One of them wince in pain. She used every last bit of effort and strength she has left. Conjuring her telekinesis on her silver disk to hit one of them, before the numbness took her over. She wasn't going down without a fight.
"Why you useless bloody bi..."
One used a taser gun on her knocking her painfully and for good.
An explosion rocked the tunnel. Were these guys crazy? These old tunnels weren't exactly the sturdiest anymore, and they were setting off bombs inside! Gaunt picked up the pace, trying to catch them before they did anything else stupid. He couldn't afford to have them bringing his new home down on top of them with another stunt like that.
He came into sight of them just as they were tasing some girl. He recognized her, the super he had seen on the news. This complicated things. He couldn't just make them disappear if a super knew where they were, people would search the tunnels. He holstered Vera, approaching the men. This called for a change of plans. He could give the girl an assist.
"Oi, gitface!" he shouted, getting their attention. They were a bit startled by the monster approaching, and trained their weapons on him. "This is Mr. Gaunt's home now, and he says no playing with bombs in the house. Now I'ma have to escort you out before he gets upset."
The man with the taser acted first. The leads hit Gaunt's chest, sticking in his shirt and scraping against the hard vest underneath it. The jolt barely would have slowed him down with a direct hit, but with the Kevlar taking the edge off he didn't even feel it. Gaunt grabbed the wires and pulled, roughly yanking the taser out of his hand. It flew aside, smashing against the concrete wall. The first man froze in shock while the others started backing away. Gaunt shoved the taser-user aside with one hand, throwing him against the wall. He collapsed at the bottom, nursing a broken arm, and the others started to run.
Gaunt leaned down and tried to shake the girl awake. "Rise and shine, kid. They're starting to get away."
Sure! She would love too, if she could only stand up and fight. With her body now completely numb and in the edge of losing consciousness. She could hardly put up a fist to fight them.
“COWARD!”
One yell who seems likely to be leader of the group. Snapping at his colleague who attempt to flee.
“His outnumber 4 to 1. We can take him. Beside, we have the upper hand to take him down…”
He encourages them.
“Think about how much he could double our bounty, included with the Silver Witch!"
The rest stopped to think about the possibility and was immediately attracted by the idea.
"Are you with me?"
The leader yelled
"YES!"
All yell with confidence, even the broken armed robber who seem rather fire up.
"GET HIM!"
The leader threw a combination of a flash and a smoke-bomb to blind their enemies. Just before they started to unleash M-15 assault towards Gaunt and Silverwing
OOC: I have several idea how these Rp can go.
*We can go either way*
The ideas would be related to the underground world. Could be either the black market or the supernatural kind. People are capturing supernatural being :
1) Auctioning them 2) Capture being experimental. 3) Experimental Werewolf (IDK, what gave me these idea. Maybe cause Gaunt is a Vampire *Shrug*)
Yeah, that's all. I'm just toying around with these ideas, but I don't mind if you have any other suggestion we can work with.
*Totally be happy to follow*
Muse ain't contributing much ideas to me. T_T

[OOC: The auction sounds good. Most common crooks won't have the connections to do research themselves, but they could offer the captured supers up on the black market.]
Gaunt paused as the flash-bang went off in his face. The force of the blast barely moved him, but it was murder on his sensitive vision and hearing. His ears were ringing and he was completely blinded, but he could feel the bullets hitting him. Shot after shot thudded against his vest, with others biting into his arms and neck. One grazed across his head, and Gaunt decided to cut his losses. He fell backwards, letting his body go limp.
Now, he just had to wait. His senses were coming back to him, but before the grenade went off he'd heard them talking about selling them. With him "dead" the robbers might come to pick up their prizes, that could get at least one of them close enough to attack or use as a hostage. He lay there, eyes open and staring, not breathing. As soon as anyone got in reach, he was ready to spring back to life and grab them. He hoped nobody noticed the lack of blood from his injuries, that cold warn off a shrewd crook.
With that, Gaunt sprung to unlife. He grabbed the ankle of the man who had kicked him, standing up as he did. The robber was dangled helplessly as the taller super used him as a shield. Gaunt kept him dangled between him and the two unharmed robbers, knowing the one with the broken arm would be less of a threat. At best he'd only be able to use a sidearm in his state, and the only pistols that could hurt Gaunt required two hands to use.
Things had gotten serious. It was too late to worry about casualties now, he'd just clean up the bodies and make it look like a disappearance. "You should have played nice." he growled, reaching behind his back. What he pulled out was enough to strike fear into most humans. The barrel of the handgun was well over a foot long, and the opening was nearly an inch wide. He took aim, and a deafening roar echoed through the tunnels as the gun opened fire.
Gaunt wasn't a great shot, but he didn't need to be. With his strength the kick from the gun was negligible, and with its sheer firepower even a graze could spin someone around. A direct hit it was better not to think too much about. It might not get through a flack jacket, but even if it didn't it would break at least half their ribs. The bullets that went wide slammed into the wall, blasting out head-sized chunks of concrete
Each of his men was stunned to see the corpse came back to life. They turn chalk white just before he, 'the monster' pulled...literally...pulled the gun on them. It didn't register with them, they were good as dead until he started shooting them, like a crazed maniac. Killing them one at the time.
The second dropped the girl to retrieve his gun, but fail when he was shot in the head. The other 2 dead in the same horrible fade as well. The one left standing was him. Only escaping by the skin of his teeth.
When all was clear, he quickly scrabbles to the girl, who is mysteriously unarmed throughout the shootout. He rings his arm around her neck (still unconscious), before taking his handgun and aims it to her head.
"HEY!" He yelled at the monster (Gaunt). "Kill me and this girl die..." He threatens him. "You might kill me like a fly, but are you willing to have your hand dirty over an innocent girl?" He question him. "Let me go and I promise to let her go at the station. I'll even let you have the money, to be fair. Deal?" He prayer the fool falls for it

Gaunt considered his options. The death of a super would draw way too much heat from the authorities, it would make it impossible to operate in these tunnels. Besides, he definitely wasn't up for seeing a kid get killed tonight. He sighed, putting away his gun. "I have what I want. You got the message, just stay out of these tunnels. Other than that you can do what you want. Take the kid or leave her." He dropped his human shield hard, giving a sickening crack as he landed on his head. Gaunt gave a little wave, and shimmered out of sight.
He hoped the man would fall for it. A false sense of security would give him the time he needed. Gaunt moved carefully, approaching the man without a sound. His invisible hand reached out slowly, then grabbed the gun hand and wrenched it away from the girl. The vampire appeared in a puff of smoke. "That was another mistake. Sorry champ, you used up all yer chances." He reached out with his other hand, wrapping his long fingers around the man's neck. A quick squeeze and a twist was all it took.
Gaunt picked up the unconscious hero and carried her back to the station she had entered from. He set her down just outside the gate and propped her up against the wall, waiting. He'd have to wait until she woke up, the girl might be in danger if she was left alone. He sighed, sitting on a trashcan nearby and thinking of what his cover story would be.
It took Silverwing a while to regain her consciousness. The knock out gas really took a number on her. Waking up with a nagging migraine and completely dazed. Taking longer to register into her brain, the event of what had happen earlier on. She looks around. Trying to figure out, where she was? Almost jumping out of her skin when her eyes met the pale looking ghoul. She was so frighten she let out an embarrassing girly yelp.
"AHH! Who are you? What are you? And Where am I? What do you want from me?"
She jumped to her feet, but wobbles and fall to her knees, who has yet fully recover from the chemical gas. She pray the ghouls wish her no harm. Or else she was a gonna for good.

Gaunt could hardly be surprised at her reaction. She woke up in a strange place to find a monster looming over her. He would be scared too in her position, if he weren't completely jaded to it by now. He raised a bony hand, trying to gesture for her to calm down. "Cool it, kid. I'm not here to hurt you." He hopped down from the trashcan, stretching a bit. "Those robbers really messed you up. I hauled your sorry hide out of there."
He kept turned away from her, trying to hide the still-closing bullethole in his neck. It was smaller than it had been, but still visible. No sense scaring her more. "Mr. Gaunt said the robbers left the tunnels through the next station to the north. I'd suggest you sit this one out, let the authorities handle it. You're in no condition to fight right now." He reminded himself to run ahead and open that gate from the inside. It was better to have a convincing cover. Even if she followed him down, he was faster than she probably would be now, and he could slip back past her invisible. That path would also lead them away from the bodies, giving him time to clean up the evidence while she chased diversions.
He turned to head back underground, waving older his shoulders. "See ya 'round, kid. I gotta get back to work. Name's Nos, if you ever need anything."
"Wait! Don't Go! I still have question to ask you" She said
She became stun when the pale male disappear right in front of her, but she still could hear his heavy boots echo through the tunnel. She started to chase after him and wonder. Was he a magical or supernatural being like her? How did he do that? What was he? as he was clearly wasn't human.
She used every effort she could to stay hot on his trail, despite still feeling weak and dizzy. She even leans against the wall for support to stay up. Coming to a stop when the sound of his footstep stopped. It didn't hit her she was at the scene of the crime until she stumble across one of the robbers dead body.
Seeing his dead cold eyes stare at her. She threw up her dinner and lunch altogether.
Gaunt groaned, rubbing his temples. He couldn't get headaches anymore, which was a shame because this certainly called for one. How had he been so careless? If he'd just waited, she might have assumed he had found some other way out and left. Instead he had to rush things and lead her right to the bodies. He should have remembered his footsteps were still perfectly audible. Gaunt reminded himself to try to figure out a way to counter that.
In a puff of smoke, he appeared in front of Silverwing. "I did what I had to." His expression was hard to read, especially with his odd face. Not exactly regret, but something close to it. "They had guns, and they were going to cart us off and sell us as guinea pigs. I hoped I could give you some plausible deniability on this. This was all in self-defense, and I wanted to keep you out of it." He lifted a body onto his shoulder. "I know this puts you in a tough spot. This'll all be cleaned out in a couple hours." He tossed another up, stacking it on top of the first. "Obviously it'd be better if you didn't mention this, but I can't make you do anything. It's all up to you." Gaunt picked up the other bodies, stacking them up on the same shoulder. Between the men an their equipment it must have been seven or eight hundred pounds, and he barely seemed to notice.
She couldn't turn to face back the dead body. There was still something she wasn't accustomed to like dead bodies. There wasn't like a chapter or 101 manual guide for heros like, 'Chapter 10: How to face a dead corpse and still hold your lunch'
Wiping the her mouth with the side of her hands. She understood clearly what he had to do and was certainly grateful, but did he had to kill them.
"But you didn't have to kill them, you could have knocked them out and show them some mercy..." She said and she was getting use to his appearance, then the first time they met. Hearing him speak, as she hears stacks up the body. She try her best to distract herself and something caught her thought. "Wait, did you just said they wanted to capture us for something?" She asked him. Come to think of it. The whole robbery plan seem rather out of it, like their whole plan, their main goal was to lure her and their focus was never the money in the first place

Gaunt shook his head. Like most heroes, she was naive. "They opened fire on me. The only reason I got close enough to fight them at all was because they thought they had already killed me." He tilted his head to the side, sticking a finger into a bullethole in his neck. He pulled the finger out, and there wasn't a drop of blood on it.
The talk of being sold off seemed to sober the girl up a bit. She was thinking of something other than the stack of dead bodies he was carrying, so that was good. "They said something about a bounty for the Silver Witch. Were gettin all daydreamy when they saw your blood, thinkin about what they could do with you. Their words, not mine." He went around, picking up their dropped guns and slinging them over his free shoulder. He didn't necessarily have to tell her all this, but the less charitable she felt towards them the better. Maybe if she knew what sort of scumbags they were, she'd be willing to look the other way here. "Course, that didn't stop em from using you as a hostage when things got tough. One of these blighters had a gun to your head. Had to take care of it." He picked up the crushed handgun and tucked it into a pocket.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
