Kaie let go of Vincent, and nothing happened. She was baffled. Was he using his flying magic? "Um, Vincent?" Kaie wasn't sure what was going on. Was this his way of returning the hug? Kaie didn't really mind if it was, she just wasn't sure whether to classify it as sweet or pervy.
Oh, that explained it. Kaie's face flushed as she realized what had happened. Vincent had gotten wedged in, and between that and the stickiness of the lotion he'd gotten stuck. Kaie reminded herself to get something more slippery next time. "Just a sec." The giant gently took hold of him, prying him out and setting him in her lap.
"This better?" Kaie smiled down at Vincent, face still pink. This had been a pretty interesting day so far. Once again, she found herself thinking that Ma would totally kill her for this.
Vincent did not mind in the position he was in, but they were out in the public. It was not something that anyone and everyone should see. Fortunately, Kaie realized what was happening and pulled him out. Vincent was flushing a bit just as Kaie was even though he had to admit part of him wanted to be back in that position.
"Well...," Vincent trailed off as he was not exactly sure how to answer her question. He was no longer in an embarrassing position... but was it necessarily better? That was something Vincent was just going to leave up in the air and not really answer.
Instead of answering Vincent simply turned and sat down on her lap so that he was looking out over the waters. This was a much more comfortable place to sit instead of on that towel of his. That was when Vincent had an idea.
Grinning, Vincent placed his hands on either side of him on her lap. Her skin was very warm, and that was due to the sun. Still, it felt nice. Focusing his power, Vincent let the energy flow from within him and into Kaie. She would feel a warm sensation spread through her and share that sensation with Vincent. Once he knew there was enough energy shared between them, he activated it, and the two slowly began to levitate. They were only a few inches off the ground, but it was something. Vincent did not want to scare her.
"Better?" Vincent said as he looked up to see Kaie's reaction.
As she set him down, Kaie could see Vincent had a blush to rival hers. He didn't seem too comfortable about the whole situation, and Kaie couldn't blame him. That sort of closeness on a public beach could get really awkward. It had been nice, but awkward. Vincent sure was warm.
Vincent fell silent pretty quickly after he settled down, and Kaie let him have some time to think. He seemed to need it, with all that was on his mind now. She leaned back on her hands a bit, admiring the view and trying to calm her blush down. It wasn't easy to do with Vincent in her lap, and it got even harder when he set his hands down on her bare legs. The medieval boy was getting a lot bolder. His hands were surprisingly warm, too. Kaie could feel heat spreading through her, and it wasn't just from the blushing.
Then the ground was gone. Kaie was a bit shocked at first, but when she realized what happened a giant smile spread across her face. "This is so cool!" she shouted out, beaming at Vincent. She was actually flying! Well, floating, but still!
"I'm glad you like it," Vincent said as he smiled up at her. Kaie had always enjoyed the little tricks he pulled off with his power, so he figured he would aim to share some with her. He was wary of how much he used as he did remember losing his power last time they had spent time together. Vincent was not even sure how much power just this little trick was draining him. That's why they were only floating, so he could better gauge how much energy he needed for Kaie.
"You don't feel weird or anything, do you?" Vincent asked her out of concern. "I've never shared my power like this before, so I have no idea what the side effects could be."
What Vincent did not know was the longer Vincent held the connection with Kaie, the more they would become in tune with each other. Right now they were only sharing the warm sensation from his energy, but as the minutes passed by he would soon start to feel what she was feeling, and she would feel what he was feeling. Talk about making a situation awkward since Vincent was still flushing a little bit. His hands were pressed against her thighs, and her skin was very soft.
"Like it? Flying is like the coolest thing ever! Ya got some great powers, Vincent." Kaie was smiling ear to ear. She'd always wanted to fly, and now she was doing it! Okay, technically she'd flown over from Ireland with Ma, but that didn't count. This was actually flying with powers!
"Don' worry about me, just keep workin yer magic!" Kaie gave Vincent the thumbs up. She wasn't feeling any side effects when he asked. But as the power kept coursing through her, she started to feel different. It took her a minute to place her finger on it. She had never felt anything like this before.
Then it dawned on her. She was sharing Vincent's senses, or at least his sense of touch. "Wow, I'm soft." she murmured to herself. Kaie wondered what Vincent was feeling right now. Was he getting this too? Her face started to flush again, but she kept quiet for the moment. She didn't want to be the first to bring it up, and it was kind of cool sharing a sense with him.
"Great!" Vincent said as he was glad there was no bad side effect on her. He did not want to harm Kaie in any way. For all he knew the energy would be having a negative effect on her body, but there was nothing so far. The moment something was wrong Vincent would make sure to sever the connection. A few inch drop would be nothing compared to falling out of the sky.
So Vincent focused to keep them floating above the sand. It was considerably easier than Vincent had imagined it would be. He had though it would drain a lot of his energy since Kaie was a much larger person. Little did he know that he actually had lots of energy in his reserves. He just did not know how to tap into that power consciously.
Everything was going well into Vincent started to feel other things. At first he thought it was his imagination, but he could feel something sitting on his lap. The moment Kaie started to flush again the same happened with Vincent. That's when he realized he was feeling what Kaie was feeling. She had someone on her lap, not him.
"Kaie... are you feeling this?" Vinceint asked softly as he looked up at her. That flush of hers was on his face, and that realization was making him flush even more. It was a circle of blushing that kept intensifying the other. He started to breathe in deeply to keep himself under control... but there were certain reactions he had no control over.
Vincent seemed to be keeping his cool really well before the sense-sharing started. He kept them floating above the sand, all cheery and stuff. It was a nice change from the mopiness of before. Kaie liked seeing Vincent happy, and this definitely seemed to be doing the trick.
As Kaie started feeling through Vincent, she could see he was feeling it too. A blush spread across both their faces as they realized what was happening. After a minute, Vincent was the first to speak. He looked into her eyes, and a cycle of ever-intensifying blushing began. Kaie just nodded, not sure of what to say.
It was right about then that she felt something she wasn't familiar with. It took her a moment to realize that it wasn't something girls normally dealt with. When it dawned on her, Kaie blushed harder than ever before. "Um maybe we should stop." she stammered out nervously.
Those few seconds were all that needed to pass for Kaie to feel exactly what Vincent was experiencing. She had nodded to answer his question, but by then it was way too late. Vincent felt her sudden reaction to feeling something she was not used to, and that foreign sensation came back onto Vincent. Kaie blushing even more also came back to Vincent to intensify the sensation even more.
Kaie did not even manage to finish her sentence before Vincent suddenly cut off the connection between them. The energy surged out of Kaie and returned inside of Vincent instantly. Of course that meant they were no longer floating, so they dropped to the sand. Only a few inches, but they still fell.
"Sorry about that...," Vincent said as he jumped off her lap and sat down. He was not sure what to tell her now since she knew very well what was going on with him at that moment. He considered jumping back into the water, but that would only make it even more obvious. So he sat there with his arms across his lap. So much for an awesome date.
The two of them landed with a boom. Kaie was heavy, even heavier than she looked at her size. The fall was only a few inches, but it kicked up a cloud of sand. Kaie waved her hands, fanning the sand away from them. Some of it settled on the two of them, making a thin layer over parts of their bodies.
With the fall, the feeling cut off. Kaie couldn't feel the lap under her, or the... stiffness. It was a huge weight off her chest. The giant let out a sigh of relief, starting to lose her blush. Looking down, Vincent had hopped off her lap and sat beside her, hands in his own lap. She was almost tempted to tease him, but he looked like he didn't need that right then.
"Don' worry, it's fine." Kaie smiled down at him, setting a hand on his shoulder. He might not have needed more close contact right then, but she wanted to comfort him. "The flying was fun. We should work on that sometime once yer more used to sharing powers." Kaie was playing it cool, but secretly she couldn't get her mind off the sense-sharing. She was wondering what else that might be good for...
Vincent breathed in slowly to calm himself down. That had been too much sensation for Vincent to handle. He could barely handle his own, and then to suddenly feel Kaie's as well almost made Vincent melt again. At least now he knew the one side effect of sharing powers like that. Maybe he would be able to keep it separated with practice, but he was not sure if he wanted to do so if it involved Kaie.
"Yeah... I'll have to work on that," Vincent said with a nervous smile as he looked up at her. The hand on his shoulder was always comforting. Vincent just wanted to lean over against her, but that was probably not the best at the moment.
"How long have we been out here?" Vincent asked to change the subject. He had completely lost track of the time, and the crowd of people seemed to have moved closer to them. It was simply more people coming to the beach. Vincent looked up to get a view of the sun but it was too bright to really tell where it was in the sky.
Vincent was cooling down slowly, taking deep breaths. Kaie kept her hand on his shoulder, it seemed to be doing more good than harm. She had gotten good at comforting Vincent. The giant smiled back down at him, glad that he was doing better. "Maybe we can practice more sometime. I wouldn't mind. Matter of fact, would be fun flying some more." she gave him a wink. Definitely not helpful, but she wasn't thinking about that at the time.
"I dunno." Kaie reached over to her bag, taking out her phone. "About an hour, hour and a half." The beach was getting a little more crowded, but people were still leaving them alone. Her size often scared people off. She didn't mind for once, it was giving her some privacy with Vincent. She turned back to him. "Wanna stay here more, or head off?"
Kaie wanted to practice with him? That idea put many more thoughts into Vincent's mind that he kept to himself. No need to actually ask her outright about all of that. Although she would like to fly some more. Maybe he could muster up enough concentration one of these days that they could actually go flying. He would have to think about that one. There was no telling how people would react to a giant being able to fly. It was easy for him to go by unnoticed, but the same would not be for Kaie.
They had only been here for an hour and a half? It really seemed like a lot more time had passed. Those flush bursts probably made everything seem longer. Or maybe Vincent just did not have a good judge of time while around Kaie. She was having some effects on him after all.
"Well we did just put that lotion on... so it would be a waste if we left...," Vincent said as he tried to come up with a decision. "What do you think we should do? I don't care as long as I get to spend it with you," Vincent told her with a grin. Those awkward side effects had worn off and Vincent had pretty much calmed down. Now he was back to enjoying Kaie's company.
Vincent seemed to have calmed down, but Kaie was still pretty stirred up. Whenever Vincent looked away, she was looking him over. She really couldn't help it. The swimsuit, the contact, and the sense-sharing had gotten Kaie's mind going certain ways. Not that she normally wasn't thinking that stuff, but it had reinforced that sort of thinking.
Kaie smiled, pulling him close to her side. "Yer real sweet, you know that?" Vincent was already confessing feelings for her. It was progressing fast, but in a good way. Kaie had the biggest, happiest smile on her face. "Why don't we just sit or lie a while? Could be nice ta relax a bit now we got the lotion on."
Vincent smiled more when Kaie suddenly pulled him to his side. He immediately felt her warmth as he was pressed against her side, and that relaxed feeling came back to him. He rested his head against her side and just sat there next to her. This was peaceful.
"Yeah... Let's just sit here for a while," Vincent said. He wanted to put his arm around her, but there was no way he could physically do that. So he settled for putting his hand on hers. It was the most he could do now without putting his hand on her thigh. That would be pushing things again, and Vincent wanted to keep away from the awkwardness they had just experienced.
Sitting there next to her was probably too relaxing as Vincent's eyes started to droop a bit. Vincent would have no problem falling asleep next to Kaie. The giantess was the best pillow ever.
"Sitting sounds good." Kaie smiled, enjoying the feel of Vincent's hand on hers. He really was a sweet guy, she was glad they'd met. His face rested against her skin. Kaie looked down, checking if he was getting frisky, but he just seemed to be tired. It was normal, they'd had a busy morning and he had just used some magic. He probably needed his rest.
Kaie smiled, looking out over the ocean. This was probably the best morning in the history of ever. She was already wondering what they could do on their next date. She couldn't do amusement parks, but she could go to movies if they let her sit in the aisle at the back. Vincent might not get the best view, but she could let him sit on her shoulder. Or her lap, he might like that even better.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
