"Most brainy powers are. Mine, on the other hand, stink," Maggie stated, frowning. She had gotten the sucky end of the super power lottery, having powers that could of been useful if she could actually speak the languages and actually understand and know them. "Besides, everyone knows that physical powers are the best." Maggie pointed out, looking up at Brock.
"Okay, i'm good wi-Brock!" Maggie burst out laughing as he picked her up and carried her bridal style back towards land. Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, Maggie thought as she blushed, wrapping her arms around his neck to hang on to. "Okay," Maggie laughed, looking around and enjoying the view of the beach. The view is nicer higher up! Maggie thought, looking up at Brock and smiling at him before giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Nah, I mean think about it. You've got one of the only powers that can actually get you a job that doesn't require spandex. My powers are really only good for fighting and smithing." He wouldn't have it any other way. Hellsmith would probably go crazy in a real job.
Brock smiled down at Maggie as he carried her to the towels. She was blushing bright again, but she seemed to be having fun. She was enjoying the view, hanging on around his neck, and Brock was enjoying the contact. He had his first real blush of the day when Maggie surprised him with a kiss on the cheek. He hadn't expected that. They arrived at their little camp, and Brock planted a kiss on her lips before setting Maggie down on the towel. He lay down next to her, grinning over at Maggie. "I'd say it's been a pretty good day so far." He stretched out on the towel, relaxing a bit.
Maggie laughed as Brock pointed out that with her powers she could get a normal job that didn't require spandex. "True, though spandex is pretty hot." Maggie pointed out with another laugh, smiling. Of course, her attention was caught by him mentioning smithing, and looked up at him. "Smithin? Like makin swords and stuff like that?" Maggie asked, not all that sure what smithing was. She was surprized that someone even smithed anymore. Wasn't that somewhat a medieval thing to do?
The thoughts scattered as Maggie saw Brock blush after the kiss on the cheek, a smile blooming on her lips as he gave her a kiss on the lips before setting her down on the towel. Oh, I guess where back, Maggie thought, grinning over at him as Brock layed down next to her. "I second that," Maggie agreed, stretching and laying down on her towel, relaxing.
Hellsmith laughed. She had a point there. "Yeah, maybe we should get you a costume." He gave her a wink. "I don't really do spandex myself. When I go full power whatever I'm wearing turns into just pants." That had its pluses and minuses. On the one hand, he couldn't be identified by his clothing when he stirred up trouble in his true form. On the other hand, those super costumes were cool. Brock wondered how many fangirls he could get if his true form went gallivanting around in spandex. Of course those weren't his exact words, gallivanting is a bit too long a word for him.
Brock made himself comfortable on the towel, occasionally glancing over and trying to scope out Maggie as subtly as possible. That was at least half the point of the beach, after all. She seemed pretty relaxed, stretched out next to him. "Not a bad start for a second date." Hellsmith murmured, almost to himself.
"Oh absolutely!" Maggie joked, picturing herself in a costume and started to laugh. Because to her, that was one of the most hilarious things she could picture. Of course, in hearing that Brock wasn't one for spandex, Maggie gave a mocking pout. "Oh and what a shame it must be for the world to miss out on that," Maggie stated before smiling at the thought of him just wearing pants when he goes full powers. Too bad he doesn't go full power often. Maggie thought as she closed her eyes, relaxing.
She could feel Brocks eyes scanning on her skin, a smug smile appearing on her face as she stole peeks at him. He was very much a good looking guy, which made her happy that she had even met him. "Not a bad start at all," Maggie agreed, rolling over onto her side so she could look at him. "So, what else did you have in mind?"
Maggie wasn't the only one imagining her in spandex. It was on Brock's mind too, and he liked the idea. He wondered if he could arrange to have a costume made for her, maybe as a barter for one of his weapons. A sword like his should be more than fair for a super outfit. The trick was getting one to fit her and still having it be a surprise. He'd have to figure out her measurements somehow. Hellsmith was sure he could think of something.
He gave a little chuckle at her comment about him in spandex. "Maybe I should get one for regular wear." It wasn't a half bad idea. Then he remembered her question from earlier. "And yeah, blacksmithing. Swords, axes, occasionally some jewelry. It's pretty fun. I'm good with putting magic into things." He casually dropped that like it was no big real. Then again, in Jump City maybe it wasn't. There were a lot of oddities in this town.
Brock rolled over to face her, barely managing to maintain eye contact. They were pretty close to each other at this point, and he was overflowing with ideas. "Anything you like, sweetie." he said with a wink.
"I can see the wheels in your head are turning. What are you thinking of?" Maggie asked, curious on what was on his mind. He was thinking about something, though what it was was she couldn't translate. Course, when Brock suggested that he should wear spandex for regular wear, Maggie blushed and everything else dissappeared. Oh gosh, what would happen if he did wear that all the time? Maggie thought, fighting hard against a smile.
She listened as Brock explained his blacksmithing hobby, smiling at finding out more information about him. "Thats cool. I didn't really think anyone did that kind of stuff," Maggie said, curiousity getting the upper hand when he mentioned magic. "Magic? Like, real magic? Like hocus pocus or Harry Potter type magic?" Maggie questioned, her face wrinkled in confusion.
Once Brock rolled over to face her, the wrinkles dissappeared and up came a smile as she looked into his gorgeous eyes. With that smile still of her face she stretched and gave him a kiss on the tip of his nose. "You are the sweetest guy I think i've ever met," Maggie stated, her smile stuck on her face.
Brock gave her a devilish grin. "You in spandex." Judging by her blush, she seemed to be thinking about him in a similar way. He made a mental note to get fitted for a supersuit sometime. If nothing else, it could help him with the ladies. Most of the showiness of streaking with none of the getting arrested, it was the perfect plan.
"Well, not really Harry Potter stuff. There's no fake Latin words, you just concentrate and the weapon does a thing. Each one can only have like, one or two spells in it though." Again, he was talking like it was the most natural thing in the world. For someone like Hellsmith, magic was something you took for granted. The idea that someone might not consider it completely normal never occurred to him.
Hellsmith got a big smile at her compliment. His sweet guy routine was working. Maggie seemed to like him a lot, both personalitywise and physically. She just couldn't stop smiling, even after her nosekiss. Brock smiled right back at her. "Thanks Maggie. So, anything you wanna do?" He leaned in close, almost face to face.
Maggie was so tempted to say that great minds think alike, yet she didn't get the chance for she was blushing and smiling too much. Oh gosh, my face is starting to hurt from smiling so much! Maggie thought, biting her bottom lip. Calm down crazy, you're way to overwhelmed. You need to be simply whelmed, Maggie thought, tilting her head as she listened to Brock talk about magic.
"Wait, so you have super strength and create things that have magic in them?" Maggie asked, jaw dropping. This was new information and boy was she jealous. "Wait, there were latin words in those books?" Maggie asked, eyes going wide. Which, in remembering her ability, it made sense that she wouldn't see the latin words for what they were, for they had translated just like every other language layed out infront of her.
Maggies blush deepened as he smiled and leaned in closer, almost face to face. Hes soo close! Oh gosh, he can probably hear my heart cause it is loud! Maggie thought, and did what any girl would of done if they were in her situation.
And there was the lip bite. Lip bite was good, if Hellsmith recalled. It certainly looked cute. Maggie's head seemed about to explode. It was fun, stirring her up like this. He was a bit curious as to where this was headed. Hopefully not too dramatically, a head explosion would really put a damper on things.
"Yeah. I can't use the things I create though, their powers don't respond to me." It was a failsafe, meant to protect him from the harmful effects of his creations. He never mentioned that part, of course. People might be reluctant to use his weapons if they knew a tank like him needed protection from using them. "Well, not real Latin, just stuff that was supposed to sound kinda like it maybe." He wasn't entirely sure. Hellsmith's Latin was a teensy bit rusty. He hadn't bothered to learn much even before it was a dead language.
Brock was about to ask again what she wanted to do when Maggie settled on the "show, don't tell" approach. That had sort of been his intent, but it was a bit of a surprise when she took the initiative. His eyes widened for a moment, a blush spreading across the demon boy's face. Once he had a second to process what was going on, Brock's eyes closed and he kissed her back.
Oh my gosh, oh my gosh. Hes kissing back. Hes kissing back! Maggies thoughts exploded as he kissed her back. Her hands, unsure of where to put them, rested between them on his chest while the other touched his face as she kissed him. And it was wonderful and impulsive and completely unlike herself.
She had only met him yesterday and already they're were already on their second date? Questioning the speed of which things were going, Maggie pulled back. Sure, she gave him three small kisses but still she pulled back, sitting up and running a hand through her hair in an effort to get her thoughts straight.
"So, um, magic." Maggie said, trying to think of what they had been talking about before the kiss. "Oh yeah, so the things you make can't be used against you, right? Though that stinks that you can't use them yourself." Maggie stated, unsure of what else to do or say. Nice going Mags. You just had to overthink things, don't ya?
Yeah, this was really nice. He could feel her hand on his chest, and her other on his face. She was really getting into things. It seemed Maggie just couldn't resist the muscles, she was dead set on touching them. Brock put one hand on her face, and wrapped his other arm around her waist, pulling her closer. She broke off the kiss eventually, ending it with a few smaller kisses. Brock smiled ear to ear, taking a moment to catch his breath. From the look of things, she needed it too.
"Don't worry about it, I got safeties. All of them have a protective enchantment in place, they turn to dust if anyone tries to use them against me. Can't even scratch their maker." Hellsmith sounded pretty confident. He knew his creations inside and out, and even he was sharp enough to put some security in place. A few chumps had tried using them on him before, but it had never worked. His safety never failed. "And yeah, some of them are pretty cool. I'm gonna be making one out of ice this week, I don't get to do that too much." A smarter villain wouldn't be blabbing about his work to some civilian who had a friend with the Titans, but this was Hellsmith. Maggie seemed interested in his work, and he wanted to impress her. "Maybe I could make you something sometime, or at least show you. Some of it's pretty cool." He wasn't above blatant bragging.
Maggie glanced over at Brock, who was grinning from ear to ear, and smiled softly at him. Her skin felt as though it was on fire as the butterflies in her stomach fluttered, her blush refusing to go away. Brock was overwhelming, that was for sure, yet Maggie couldn't tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing quite yet. Time will tell, I guess. Maggie thought, laying back down next to him as she listened to him talk about his crafts.
Maggie was relieved to hear that Brocks inventions had safeties attached to them so that he couldn't be harmed by them. "I'm glad to hear that, though it sounds as though you've learned from experience. You didn't beat them too badly, did you?" Maggie asked, making a face at the thought of Brock beating the tar out of those foolish enough to try to defeat him with his own creations. "You're going to be making something out of ice? Really? Thats really cool!" She said excitedly, interested on how it could be done as well as flattered that he trusted her with such information.
Her blush, which had started to fade, renewed itself and brought along a smile when Brock said that maybe he could make her something or show her how it was done. "Really? That would be fantastic," Maggie said, grinning from ear to ear at the thought. Kaie was so going to flip when Maggie showed her something that Brock made, especially if it was made for her.
Maggie seemed about ready to burst. It was kind of cute. He took his arm off of her, letting her get some room to relax. He didn't want her brain melting on him. If she wanted a little space, she could move more now.
"Don't worry, I don't go overboard." His definition of overboard was a little different from hers. He was perfectly fine with lethal force, and had used it several times when a weapon was turned against him. Or for lesser reasons, he wasn't picky. He was a demon who'd been conditioned to love fighting, crushing his enemies and seeing them driven before him was kind of his thing.
His ego puffed up even more when she started gushing about his weapons. Maggie seemed to be a fan of his work, at least in principle. She hadn't seen it yet, but he was going to make something cool for her. "Thanks. It's one of my tricks, I can forge anything like it's metal. Even made a sword out of smoke once, that one was tricky." Oh, now she was blushing again. Could this be going any better? Okay, he could think of a few ways, but it was damn good as-is. "Maybe something to let you fly. Got a preference on type?"
Maggie was relieved to hear that Brock didn't go overboard on the idiots, though her definition of overboard was very much different from his. For starters, it meant that everyone left the situation still alive with only minor damage. Maggie leaned over and gave him another kiss, before pulling back and smiling at him. "Good, i'm glad to hear that." Maggie said sweetly.
Maggie knew that she was fluffing up his ego, but theres nothing wrong with that. It made people feel better about themselves and, apparently in Brocks case, made their tongues a little bit looser and made them talk. "Out of smoke? Really? That would be interestin to see in person." Maggie said, impressed and curious to see this in action.
When he said that he could make something to let her fly however, Maggies eyes went wide and her jaw dropped. "It can make me fly!? Fudge thats- Thats beyond fantastic!" She gushed, though she tilted her head a bit in confusion afterwards. "A preference on type? What?" She asked, confused on what he meant by that.

The roleplay takes place after the series end of the original Teen Titans animated show, but does not include the movie Trouble in Tokyo. Since then Robin has been on something of a recruiting spree, and many new young heroes have found themselves a home in Jump City as well as Titan Tower.
